FOR YOUR CHILD
FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH PROGRAM
HOW TO APPLY FOR FREE AND REDUCED PRICE SCHOOL MEAL. CLICK ON THE APPLICATION LINK BELOW FOR APPLICATION.
Dear Parents,
St. Rocco School participates in the National School Lunch Program. Please fill out a free and reduced meal benefit application for your child/ren. New applications need to be filled out at the start of each new school year. Please be sure to fill out the application entirely to ensure timely processing. If you were receiving free or reduced meal benefits last year but failed to fill out a new application before the October 15th deadline, any balance incurred between that time and the time that a new application was filed is still your responsibility to pay. All children currently living in your household should be listed on ONE application.
Income eligibility guidelines change each year, so even if you did not qualify for benefits last year, you may qualify this year.
If you receive a direct certification letter from the state that says "please bring this letter to your school," you do not need to fill out an application, but you must send the letter in to the School Office in order to start receiving meal benefits.
We cannot offer your family free & reduced meal benefits until the date that we have an application or direct certification letter on file, so please be sure to fill one out as soon
as possible.
Please note that if your ability to pay or circumstances have changed, please re-submit
a new application to be considered for Free & Reduced Benefits. We accept payment in
the form of cash but check preferred.
Please make all checks payable to St. Rocco School.

The school uniform is a symbol of unity within the school community. It minimizes distractions in the learning process and teaches students to take pride in their
appearance by wearing the regulated uniform. By wearing the uniform, students
are constantly reminded they are representing St. Rocco School.

STUDENT HANDBOOK
Dear Parents & Guardians:
The St. Rocco School handbook (which you may find below) was created to share the policies and regulations of St. Rocco School so that all students may grow spiritually, academically and personally in a safe school environment.
The policies are derived form a number of sources: Diocese of Providence Catholic School Office, Rhode Island Department of Education, and St. Rocco School. They are intended to provide the best possible learning environment for your children in keeping with our highest academic, social, and spiritual standings.
I recommend that you read this handbook thoroughly with your children, and sign where indicated on the last page. Please return the signature sheet to the office. Do not hesitate to call me at 944-2993 if you have any questions.
With your continued support and cooperation we will continue to work together toward the common goal of not only educating your children, but also providing them with the moral values and faith training which will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melissa D'Amico
Principal

SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Volunteers play an important role at St. Rocco School. Many of the events and activities
are made possible through their support. Our school functions best when there is an
active Parent/Guardian Association. We thank you in advance for the generosity of
your time and/or talents.
Anyone interested in volunteering must have a BCI check, and view the Safe Environment video from the Diocese of Providence.

Safe Environment Training
The safe environment training has been updated and condensed to approximately 1
5 minutes. The new link is: http://dioceseofprovidence.org/safe-environment-training-powerpoints After viewing the training, you are required to come to the school office and sign a log sheet to confirm you have completed the training. At that time you will be asked
to complete the BCI paperwork as well. Please be sure you have your license and/or proper identification with you.
